a month agoI got the stewed chicken only two pieces of meat for 17 dollars for that price its no way i should have received two pieces of little meat But first they told my son 25 dollars but because my son said im not spending 25 dollars for this they changed it to 17.The food did not taste fresh and macaroni smelled sour like they had it sitting for a while which made me feel sick. We couldn't even finish the food.

2 months agoDelicious food and service! I would like to see prices listed, consistent pricing and when we call ahead of time we would like our food done or nearly done (by 5 minutes) when its time to pickup.

4 months agoSo upset with the Souse from there. Cold and bland. Drove from Corral springs for nothing. Waited 20 minutes after I called to order the dish. So disappointed especially when the craving was not satisfied. Never again.

7 months agoVisiting Miami for the weekend we were invited by a friend to have lunch , we all had the cowheel soup. It was very tasty , made me feel at home . Will visit Sweethand Kathy’s again !

8 months agoI’ve eaten quite a bit of Trinidadian food, but Kathy’s is different. Don’t let the “cafeteria” vibe fool you. The food is authentic and incredibly flavorful. The sautéed spinach with braised pork and fragrant white jasmine rice, Wow! The smoked fish with onions and peppers, the stewed mackerel with Coo Coo (think soft, creamy corn cake, almost like polenta) and callaloo. A lot of things I’ve never tried before (and I’m a foodie!). Chef/owner Kathy came out to talk to us about her food, what goes with what….very warm and gracious. Glad we checked it out.

Edited 8 months agoI wish I could give this restaurant more credit than I gave it. However, my food was cold. It did have some potential, but I felt like it would’ve been way better if I had my food at the right temperature. I don’t have anything else to say about this place. The server was very friendly and welcoming. Dont think I would be trying it again.
